Organic Electronic: Nobide Confirms Two Headlining Shows in Montana

Boulder, CO-based, livetronica trio Nobide will head up to Montana for two shows early 2020. They’ll be at the Top Hat in Missoula on Friday, February 7th and at the Rialto in Bozeman on Saturday, February 8th. Some may have seen Nobide open for Partygoers at the Top Hat back in February.

The three-piece is comprised of Nick Vann, Matt McElwain, and Tanner Fruit. Montanan’s may recognize that third name, as Tanner’s saxophone playing has been a staple of the Missoula music scene since 2o12 with his other band Shakewell. He’s also played in the spinoff project, Shark Buffalo, and has collaborated with several other band’s over the years.

Tanner’s affinity for jazz is paired with Nick’s edgy production and Matt’s driving rhythms to create rowdy dance tunes along with deep sonic explorations. Nobide’s far-reaching, genre-bending style isn’t easy to categorize. Setting traditional instruments amid an electronic backdrop, the Nobide sound may be best described as “Organic Electronic.”

2019 has seen Nobide release a series of singles including “Nitelite,” “Ashe,” “Cru,” “In the Night,” and most recently a remix of Sunsquabi’s “Chrysalis.”
