About Level Up

LEVEL UP, aka Sonya Broner, feels most at home behind the decks. Born in Los Angeles, California, she got her start in music as a battle DJ. Moving to Brooklyn, New York, she studied with master turntablist Rob Swift. Traversing the boroughs as a battle DJ, Sonya was often lugging her vinyl records to and from shows to out-scratch her competitors. Her inspirations include legends DJ Jazzy Jeff, Funkmaster Flex, and Grandmaster Flash.
After four years of turntablism, LEVEL UP decided to take her musical career a step further and pursue DJing electronic music, the genre she felt the most connection to. She was drawn to dubstep from the moment she heard Rusko, Caspa, and Skream. On the live front, she was mesmerized by Porter Robinson and his ability to evoke emotion.
Soon after discovering bass music, LEVEL UP dove into music production. Continuously crafting her sound is what makes her feel the happiest and is her truest form of self-expression. A theatre actress in her youth, her storytelling ability is evident through her music: unfathomably heavy wubs and wobbles and tricky doubles leave fans ready for more. She has gone on to release music on Deadbeats, GRVDNCR, and Buygore, with much more in the pipeline.
LEVEL UP performed at over 30+ drive-in events alongside Subtronics, Boogie T, HE$H, and other artists through 2020 after touring nationally on the Cyclops Invasion Tour prior to the pandemic. She has graced the stages of Lost Lands, Electric Forest, High Caliber, and more. 2021 is going to be a breakout year for LEVEL UP, headlining her very own Summoning Tour in the Fall of 2021 after a hefty festival season.

About Vastive

Ranging from the power of dub to the energy of drum and bass and everything in between, Vastive hails from the east coast and is known as the “Bully on the Block.” Solidified on the grounds of all things bass, the #bullyontheblock has set forth a vision to bring home the balance between sanity and chaos. In the booth or on the decks; pure and raw emotion fueled by the sounds of peace and absolute destruction is to be expected. With roots as the lead singer in a metal band, Vastive is no stranger to playing in front of a crowd and putting on a stellar performance. Alongside Vastive’s impressive composition and skillful production, his vocals keep him standing apart from the rest. Vastive’s fresh take on bass music has landed him collaborations with Kompany, Oddprophet, plus many others while releasing on labels such as Never Say Die, Subsidia, Welcome Records, Space Yacht Records and more. As well as the labels, his music has been supported by industry heavyweights such as Excision, Kayzo, NGHTMRE, Sullivan King, Bear Grillz, Kai Wachi, PhaseOne, Calcium, and the list keeps going.
