Logjam Donates $50,000 to SPARK! and Announces Community Action Series

On October 1, the Logjam Foundation – the charitable arm of the Montana-based live entertainment promoter Logjam Presents – donated $50,000 to SPARK! to support the Kennedy Foundation’s Any Given Child Initiative. The funds will help integrate arts education into the Missoula County Public School system.

According to Logjam Foundations founder Nick Checota, “Missoula is very fortunate to be one of the selected cities to participate in the SPARK! program. With the reduction of arts spending in our educational system, we feel initiatives such as SPARK! are more important than ever. The arts are a critical part of educating our youth and have far reaching benefits for the long-run success of the current student population. Logjam is proud to help make the SPARK! program a success.”

According to SPARK! Executive Director Sienna Solberg, We feel beyond fortunate to have the support provided by the Logjam Foundation. With the help of the foundation, we have been able to expand programming to our middle schools, and continue to grow and provide equal access to arts for all of our Missoula County Public School K-8 students. The arts advocacy the Logjam Foundation brings to Missoula is truly remarkable, and we are grateful to be a part of it, and work together to provide more arts opportunities for our children.

To commemorate the donation, the Logjam Foundation will be hosting a fundraising event at the Top Hat Lounge in downtown Missoula on November 13 where 25% of all food and beverage sales between 6pm – 9pm will be donated to SPARK!. This event will be part of the Logjam Foundation’s Community Action Series – an ongoing series of events dedicated to raising funds and awareness for local not-for-profit organizations.
