Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs Add Local Support and Announce Hawaiian Theme for New Year’s Eve at The ELM

New Year’s Eve with Americana rockers Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs is getting even better! They just added two more artists to the show that are based right here in Bozeman — STiLGONE and Madeline Hawthorne. That’s right, THREE of Bozeman’s finest musical talents on one stage to ring in the New Year.

Madeline Hawthorne has been a staple in the local folk scene for close to a decade and she also played The ELM’s Open House, so it’ll be special watching her kick the night off. STiLGONE, a psychedelic soul fusion band, will turn the place up and help get the crowd a little rowdy before the main event with The Bird Dogs.

Building upon the excitement, Laney Lou and The Bird Dogs have announced a special theme for the show: Aloha ’22 (A Goodbye to 2022, and Hello to 2023)! Here’s what the band had to say:

“ALOHA!! And…Aloha. It means goodbye and hello! This New Year’s Eve, join us in saying Aloha to the dynamic year that was 2022, and Aloha to the hibiscus-scented-ocean-breeze of a year that 2023 is certain to be. That’s right folks, our party at The Elm is HAWAIIAN themed! Dust off your old Tommy Bahama shirts, dig out your grass skirts and coconut bras, and bring the island vibes to wintery Bozeman. We’re excited to share the stage with two amazing Bozeman bands, Madeline Hawthorne, and STiLGONE.
P.S. Matt has been making Hawaiian shirts cool again ever since the start of the Bird Dogs in 2013. We are offering a can of SPAM to the first five people who can match one of these shirts.”

Three Bozeman bands, NYE, Hawaiian theme… What else do we need to say?? Invite your friends, bring the fam and let’s have the party of the year! You can grab your tickets here.

Oh, and don’t foreget… Missoula-bred bluegrass phenoms, The Lil Smokies, perform the night before on December 30th (before they head to Missoula for NYE at The Wilma). It’s going to be a Montana-made type of New Year’s!
