Logjam Presents, the leading entertainment company in Montana, and its sister company Top Hat restaurant and catering, are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is based in Missoula, Montana, on the second floor of the historic Wilma building. The position is a full-time salary position with full health and dental benefits, as well as paid time off.
We are seeking candidates that will thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years accounting and/or bookkeeping experience. Key skills include: highly organized, detail oriented, a good communicator, and a proven track record of trustworthiness with cash and sensitive information.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.
- Cash management, including daily sales reconciliation for both the entertainment box office and the restaurant, bank deposits, etc.
- Accounts payable, including preparation of vendor payments, daily sales and transaction posting, expense reconciliation, etc.
- Financial reporting, including assisting the finance manager in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, budgeting, as well as special projects as needed by the owners.
- Payroll and human resources, including assisting with staff hour reconciliation, responding to requests for unemployment / benefits information, monitoring quarterly and annual tax requirements, benefits management, etc
