About Call of the Awakened

We are 5 young musicians who share a love for metal music and are trying to make an impact in the business from our humble home of Great Falls, Montana. Call of the Awakened started in 2013 under the name Mistaken which was then later changed to take on more meaning. We recorded our first professionally produced album in 2017 titled “Simulated Consciousness” at 4th Avenue Studios in Great Falls. We received great feedback from our friends and family, but we felt that as a band we had fallen short of the level of professionalism we were looking for.

After the release, we went our separate ways for a brief period of time due to separate colleges, high schools, and military commitments.  The band had slowed to a screeching halt, and it seemed as if we all envisioned different paths for our lives. As 2018 was around the corner, we were all longing for that creative outlet that we once had. We slowly rallied together to give it one more shot with an idea had been in the making for awhile. This song was titled “L.O.M.”. We returned to 4th Avenue Studios to record this single and had found that our sound had drastically improved. The song received great feedback and had garnered much more success than our previous efforts.

From this moment on, we had unanimously decided that we needed to stay together to give the band another shot. Dropping everything, we started to build our business as well as our fan base in order to gain more momentum. We gathered thousands of more listeners, followers, and likes. As a result we decided to move in together and continue to build our foundation. We then quickly realized it was time for another album, but we wanted to do it a little differently. We set an ambitious goal of $25,000 for this project so we could travel to Los Angeles and record with the best of the best.

Through months of hard work, gigging, and advertising along with some generous donations,  we had raised all the funds necessary for our trip to California. We drove 23 hours to LA and worked for 2 weeks straight with little to no down time. We have never experienced anything like this and are very excited to show the world what we have achieved come this Spring of 2019.
