About OPIUO

Emotional connections to art & artists are at the very core of who we are as humanity. Seldom is this phenomenon felt more powerfully than inside the wonderful world of Opiuo. A genre-bending plethora of auditory and visual masterclasses upon which Oscar Davey-Wraight has built his highly respected, forward-thinking career. Born in 1984 in rural New Zealand, his parents provided the land upon which music festivals were held, unveiling the magic of live music
to Opiuo at a young age. This extremely formative growth surrounded by the early incarnations of Aotearoaʼs electronic music scene exposed him to the beautiful celebration of life through self-expression, dance, and giant sound systems. These experiences directly shaped so much of who he is & what he stands for today. Positivity and movement at the core of the project, his music is an infectious electronic-based blend of funk, soul, psychedelia, and booty-shaking bass.

Now calling Australia home, Oscar frequently tours his party-starting music throughout the globe. Having spent more than a decade performing at some of the world’s most renowned festivals and venues including Lollapalooza (US), Glastonbury (UK), and Splendour In The Grass (AU), as well as selling out Coloradoʼs world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre, heʼs performed his music in an unimaginably large array of formats. From the self-built SYZYGY Orchestras, to collaborating with symphony choirs, touring his own Opiuo Band, and most recently as an immersive solo audio & visual show, his live creativity is limitless. Well and truly risking it all in the name of expression & freedom inside what is possible as an electronic producer and performer, to incredible praise.

His decades of evolution have been rewarded, taking home the New Zealand Music Award for Best Electronic Album in 2014, and his catalogue is vast. Having released 4 full-length albums, 10 EPs, and a myriad of singles and remixes over the last 12 years. His 5th studio album is titled “A Shape Of Sound” and is on the way this August. His most diverse, expansive, and detailed yet.

About Daily Bread

Rhett Whatley, aka Daily Bread, started producing beats from his bedroom in 2014 armed with an MPC, a massive record collection, and a background in jazz guitar. His beat head sensibilities found him crafting unique electro-soul and hip hop tracks that needed to be heard.

After releasing a few tracks online, the project was quickly noticed by the Philos crew, and he soon joined the ranks of several like-minded artists. Inspired by their collaborations, Rhett began work in earnest on his double LP masterwork “On the Daily” and found himself sharing the stage with his influences like Pretty Lights, GriZ, and The Floozies.

Releasing “On the Daily” on Philos in February 2017, Rhett took the Daily Bread project to the Rocky Mountains and spent half the year in Denver soaking up all the electro-soul hub had to offer. Now back in ATL and fresh off the 1 million Spotify plays milestone of his last release “Moreland Ave Blues”, Rhett is using his freshly honed skills to further the Daily Bread sound and bring his unique vision to ears across the globe.

Maddy O'Neal

Dirty Funky Bass Music but make it pretty.

The vibe and soul of the Maddy O’Neal project combines soundscapes from all across the spectrum of genres…Rich in texture and atmosphere, her roots in funk and soul shine through in a bed of low end frequencies making for a unique environment for future bass and synth design to tie it all together. Hailing from Denver, Colorado you can hear the direct electro soul inspiration sprinkled in her productions but she has managed to carve out her own unique lane within the bass community. As a self taught producer and DJ, with a wildly creative upbringing, Maddy’s expression was formed by way of soulful melodic overtones, driven basslines, and glitched out hip hop grooves. Maddy’s live performances consist of original compositions, drum pads and an interwoven storyline ranging from down low grimey bangers to shimmery mid tempo vocal bass tracks and head nod disco. Her momentum is unstoppable as she has been touring the country for the last 5 years playing 90+ shows a year spreading her infectious energy from stage to stage.

With hits like “Zest Please”; a collaboration with the iconic Clozee that amassed over 2 million spotify plays in just one year, 4 EPs, and her second full length album coming this fall, Maddy’s repertoire is ever expanding leaving fan bases across the world wanting more.

Maddy O’Neal has played Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Summer Camp, North Coast, Summer Meltdown, Red Rocks (x3) and many many more. Her touring resume is long and accomplished by supporting such artists as Clozee, Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic, The Floozies, Opiuo, Wreckno, Cherub, SunSquabi, Manic Focus, and more.
