Award-winning Americana at The Wilma: Sarah Jarosz to Headline this September

Grammy-award-winning Americana, Bluegrass “prodigy”, Sarah Jarosz  will headline The Wilma on Friday, September 29th. June 19th marked the one year anniversary of her most recent album release, Undercurrents, and a lot has happened since then.

Just 26 years old, Jarosz has already produced three albums and the latest stands as a departure from her previous works. The album is presented through spacious production and showcases the songwriter’s vocal performance instead of her skills on several instruments. The result: “a classy piece of modern Americana.”

Jarosz has been playing shows since high school and has headlined venues across the U.S. and even in Europe. She also recently released a collaboration with Parker Millsap (also playing The Top Hat) through Luck Reuinion and Third Man Records.

The multi-instrumentalist graduated New England Conservatory in 2013. Her tight skill-set garnered her two Grammys: Best Folk Album 2017 (Undercurrents) and Best Americana Roots Performances (House of Mercy- see above). Complimenting her crisp vocals and thoughtful lyrics on tour for Undercurrents are Jeff Picker (bass) and Anthony da Costa (guitars & vocals).

Fresh out off of her festival circuit, including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Sarah Jarosz will headline a fully reserved seated concert at The Wilma on Sept 29th.

Tickets will be available Fri, Jun 23 at 10:00 AM MDT and the show will be fully reserved and seated. They can be purchased online over the phone at 877-987-6487, or at The Top Hat’s box office in downtown Missoula. More information on the performance can be found here
