Born in Idaho, Crosby started his career as a solo singer-songwriter. Starting at age 19, he focused his sound, training his chops with 250+ shows per year. Jeff took on the suport of a band, The Refugees, before they released their 2013 album, Silent Conversations. The band consists of brother Andy Crosby (bass), Will Prescott (drums) and Dave Manion (pedal steel/guitar).
Armed with a fuller sound, the artist’s critical acclaim began to build. The album (Silent Conversations) had two songs, “Oh Love, Oh Lord” and “This Old Town” (see below) featured on the FX series, Sons of Anarchy.
Walking Days, the most recent release, contains more atmospheric tones for a variation on the group’s typical folk, rock, and Americana mash-up. The project was recorded with guest artists like Brian Whelan on pedal steel (Dwight Yoakam), Marshall Vore on drums (Ryan Adams/Olin & The Moon) and more. The resulting album has this artist poised for continued growth in the coming years.
