About the Retrospective concept

Ret·ro·spec·tive: (defined as) – an exhibition or compilation showing the development of the work of a particular artist over a period of time.

The “Pink Floyd Retrospective” carefully chooses songs from every studio album in the Pink Floyd catalog, some for the story, others for their pioneering direction in Rock music as we know it. Beginning with the psychedelic, Syd Barrett-influenced pieces of Piper at the Gates of Dawn and the like from 1967 on, through the flagship hits of “Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall” in the 1970’s & 80’s, and culminating with the hugely anthematic, orchestral-like instrumentation of their last albums; “Momentary Lapse of Reason” and “The Division Bell.” And let’s not forget the cherry on top… the completely retrospective work from 2014, “The Endless River.”

You can expect 3 hours of music ranging from the earliest Pink Floyd music to the most recent 2014 release with touches of the current Gilmour & Waters Tours.

Get your tickets early, mark your calendars, and spread the word!

About Pinky and the Floyd

Pinky and the Floyd has recently been called the Northwest’s Hottest Pink Floyd Tribute Band! Since it’s inception in 2007, Pinky has exploded in popularity, selling out nearly every show in the past 5 years. Their performances strike the perfect balance between intimacy & intensity, and the energy and stage presence is unprecedented.

All Pinky members are professional working musicians, assembled from genres across the board, culling their expertise to produce what has clearly proven to be a successful musical venture. All told, there are over 20 bands that the members of Pinky and the Floyd are part of, spanning genres from Americana & Vintage Swing to Hip Hop, Jazz, Country, Salsa, Funk, Rock, Blues and on and on… They see their varied backgrounds as strength in diversity, knowing that each member “…unconsciously affects the overall sound. As players, musicians & artists, whatever you’ve got comes with you…” And between the 9 of them, they’ve got a lot.

Pinky and the Floyd has a big sound and is an experience not soon forgotten. You can expect albums in their entirety, and a little something from every Floyd genre – from Syd Barrett to Division Bell, and everything in between!
