6,500lbs of Waste Diverted from Landfill to Compost

We are delighted by the results so far of the green initiative! With your contribution, we have now diverted over 6,500 pounds of kitchen waste from the landfill into Garden City Compost since January 2018. In addition, 95% of the cups and straws served at the bars in The Top Hat and The Wilma are being diverted from the landfills into compost. This means with your hard work we have significantly contributed to Missoula’s Zero By Fifty goal of reducing waste by 90% by year 2050. Shoutouts to Missoula Compost Collection for offering such a remarkable service to our community!

Keep your eyes open for green compost bins and blue recycling bins at events. And remember, we are offering Klean Kanteen green initiative water bottles which you can re-fill at events. We are also offering Klean Kanteen pint cups, in which we will gladly fill your drinks.
