Rough and Tumble Honky Tonk: Whitey Morgan Will Return to Missoula

Gritty, award-winning country musician Whitey Morgan will return to Missoula for a live concert at the Top Hat on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Growing up in the economically depressed city of Flint, MI, Morgan’s songwriting is a true-to-life reflection of the struggles that stem from such circumstances. His most recent album Sonic Ranch is filled with the whiskey riddled tellings of a hardworking, bare-knuckle bruised man.

Morgan has won several awards, including 3 Detroit Music Awards for Best Country Vocal Performance, Best Country Songwriter, and Best Country Album for his first LP Honky Tonks and Cheap Motels. In 2014, he was the winner of The Ameripolitan Music Awards Outlaw Country Band of the Year.
