Clarence Greenwood a.k.a. Citizen Cope, is preparing to release Heroin and Helicopters, his first album since 2012s One Lovely Day. The new LP is slated to drop March 1, 2019 and was recently previewed with the single “Justice” released on November 30th. “Justice” was recorded at Central Recordings in Washington D.C., the same studio where his popular songs “Son’s Gonna Rise” and “Bullet And A Target.”

Speaking about the single, Cope wrote “I have never really experienced what justice is. Our definition is more like revenge or payback. But I have seen love create miracles and overcome hate.” The single is a classic representation of Cope’s songs, often evoking a laid back vibe with a catchy melody, all while delivering a lyrically thought provoking message.
