Lil Smokies Cover Beatles’ “Paperback Writer”

Missoula’s bluegrass titans The Lil Smokies have just released a cover of The Beatles 1966 single “Paperback Writer” (listen above).

This is the second cover single that the Smokies have unveiled within the past two months as they released a version of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” at the end of October.

Both songs are part of the SnowGhost Singles — all recorded in a single day session at the SnowGhost Music studio with engineer Brett Allen (The Avett Brothers, Kris Kristofferson) and assistant engineer Jerry Sandler. The series consists of the most requested covers from the Smokies live concerts. More covers are suppose to be dropping within the coming months, so stay tuned.

We’re hoping to see a few of the classic covers played live when The Lil Smokies perform on NYE at The Wilma. More concert info here.
