Soaring Choruses and Sprawling Guitars: Wolf Parade Confirms Headlining Concert in Missoula

Canadian indie rock band Wolf Parade has announced a headlining concert at the Top Hat on Sunday, March 3, 2019.

The band formed in 2003 by co-frontmen, Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner, and soon recruited the help of drummer Arlen Thompson, keyboardist Hadji Bakara and eventually a second guitarist Dante DeCaro.

Their unique sound, a complex yet relatable, energetic brew of glam, prog, and synth-rock, helped define 2000s indie rock with three critically celebrated albums, and propelled a growing Wolf Parade fandom even after the band went on a then-indefinite hiatus in 2010.

They reunited in 2016 and the following year released their fourth full length album Cry Cry Cry on the SubPop record label. The album was produced by Pacific Northwest legend John Goodmanson (Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, Unwound) at Robert Lang Studios outside of Seattle, and is accompanied by a renewed focus and the creativity of a band that took their time getting exactly where they needed to be.
