deM atlaS Releases Official Music Video for “Pneumonia”
Rhymesayers hiphop artist deM atlaS just dropped the official music video for his song “Pneumonia,” which comes off his full length debut album Bad Actress.
The video is directed by Tazbah Chavez and “juxtaposes deM atlaS’ inner turmoil with a sunny California backdrop.” The song revolves around similar content that’s heard throughout the rest of the album — unhealthy relationships, struggles with mental illness, and an indomitable drive to overcome them.
Speaking with The Current, deM described the Bad Actress as a “journey from where I started and getting to where I am now.” He added that he’s gotten out of a self-described “hell…not like Hell the place…But the hell that’s inside of you.”
The album was produced by fellow Twin Cities resident, Ant, who’s also the cofounder of Rhymesayers and one half of Atmosphere.
deM atlaS is currently on the road with Atmosphere for their Mi Vida Local Tour, along with support from The Lioness and DJ Keezy. They’ll be hitting Missoula for a live concert at The Wilma on February 27. Details here.
