This will be the second year in a row that Stoopid delivers their Ocean Beach vibes to the Blackfoot River. Last year they played an early June date with Stick Figure, Pepper, and surprise special guest, Don Carlos. It was the first reggae show that’d taken place at KettleHouse Amp since its 2017 inception. Check out the photo gallery from the show here.

Slightly Stoopid has earned their spot as one of the top reggae rock acts in the world, headlining festivals and touring internationally year after year. Originally discovered and signed by the late Bradley Nowell of Sublime, Slightly has since started Stoopid Records, and have released 13 albums — with 2018’s Everyday Life, Everyday People topping the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

Since their formation in the mid 90s, Stoopid cofounders and multi-instrumentalists Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty have matured into a versatile musical ensemble consisting of drummer Ryan “Rymo” Moran; percussionist Oguer “OG” Ocon; saxophonist Daniel “Dela” Delacruz; keyboardist Paul Wolstencroft and trumpet and trombone player Andy Geib.

Matisyahu is known for his fusion of reggae, rock, rap, and beatboxing. His 2006 album Youth was certified Gold and included the Top 40 hit “King Without a Crown.” His most recent LP, Undercurrent, came out in 2017 and reach #16 on Billboard 200.

Tribal Seeds are another San Diego reggae gem who’ve been putting out reggae chart toppers for more than a decade. 2017’s Roots Party debuted at #1 on Billboard, iTunes & Amazon Reggae charts. That same year they won “Artist of the Year” at the San Diego Music Awards.

Hirie is the frontwoman for the Hawaiian-bred reggae band of the same name. Their self-titled album debuted at #4 on the iTunes Reggae chart and rocketed to #9 Billboard Reggae chart.
