Award winning Australian roots rock band John Butler Trio will perform at KettleHouse Amphitheater on Sunday, August 18, 2019 with special guest Trevor Hall.
The last time John Butler Trio played in Missoula was in 2014 at the Wilma. There’s no doubt that the wait will be worth it, as they return for a mid-summer date on the banks of the majestic Blackfoot River — an appropriate scene for Butler’s mesmerizing music. Not to mention, Trevor Hall’s triumphant return, who played to a sold out crowd at the Top Hat in 2014 and last played at the Hat in 2017.
Fronted by singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, John Butler, JBT released their debut album in 1998. Since then, they’ve been one of Australia’s most awarded artists, having been nominated for 27 ARIA Music Awards including three awards for Best Independent Release and three for Best Blues & Roots Album.
The band also had several albums debut at #1 on the Australian album charts and had 4 albums reach the platinum sales status including, Three (2001); Sunrise Over Sea (2004); Grand National (2007); and April Uprising (2010).
