Bonafide ‘Funklordz’ Chromeo to Perform Missoula Concert

Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo will make their highly awaited debut performance at the Wilma in Missoula on Sunday, June 2, 2019.

For several years, Logjam has heard one fan after another request that Chromeo be booked in Missoula. We heard you, and we’re happy to say that they’re finally coming!

Since their 2004 debut, She’s in Control, Chromeo has been unleashing a funk forward mix of dance, synth-pop and rock. David “Dave 1” Macklovitch (ever the Semitic/Gallic heartthrob in tight pants) and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel (still looking a smooth criminal in a Coogi) are the men behind the unique sound.

Their tracks have accumulated well over 150 million streams across platforms and their albums have received critical acclaim. AV Club spoke about Chromeo’s third album Business Casual  saying it  “opens with a powerful three-part salvo crafted for maximum dance-floor penetration.” Exclaim! hailed their fourth LP, White Women, as “the best Chromeo record yet, a seamless combination of energy and melancholy, disco and soul, all mixed together into some of the most effective songs they’ve written.”

Their most recent album Head Over Heels not only elevates Chromeoʼs blueprint of ass-targeting beats, melodic honey and clever lyrics about the foibles of contemporary love…it augments it with unprecedented conceptual cohesion, booming sonics and more collaborations than ever before. Chromeo received a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Head Over Heels.
