Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, or DLO3, deliver a unique 60’s & 70’s vintage soul sound with their Hammond B3, tasty guitar lines and old school style of pocket drumming. The band’s namesake, Delvon Lamarr, cut his teeth in the music scene taking any gig he could find prior to founding the trio. However, he admits he wasn’t the most business savvy, as his wife would agree.

“My wife got tired of me complaining about driving 150 miles for a $75 gig dragging around a B3. She really got tired of that, man. She was like, ‘Dude, you’ve got to step up your game.’ So she said, ‘You know what? I’ve got an idea. You get your musicians together and you create the music and let me handle everything else.’ And I did, too. I never wanted to run a band.” And that’s how the band was born. Delvon credits wife Amy Novo, who now serves as his manager, for starting the band.

DLO3’s debut album, Close But No Cigar was released in 2016. The album reached number one on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and number three on the Jazz Albums chart. 2018’s Live at KEXP! (recorded May 2017), reached number 10 on the Jazz Albums chart.
