Released in 2009, their third album Geneva, reached No. 24 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. PopMatters gave it 9 out of 10 stars saying, “Russian Circles, with their instruments well-used and dynamic, leaders in their own right, guide the listener through the varying courses of each song with nary a misstep.” They followed with their critically acclaimed album Empros in 2011. Iann Robinson of Crave Online gave it 10 out of 10 stars saying “Empros is one of the most viscerally exciting and completely entertaining albums I’ve heard in a long time. There is perfection in the air and the battle for album of the year just heated up again.”

Two more critically acclaimed albums followed with Memorial (2013) and Guidance (2016). AllMusic wrote “Rough and explosive yet perfectly controlled, Guidance is yet another powerful statement from the heavy instrumental rock behemoths.”
