Portland Indie Rockers STRFKR Confirm Return to Montana for Two Concerts

Portland rock band STRFKR have confirmed their triumphant return to Montana with two concerts planned — the first at the Wilma in Missoula on September 10th and the second at the Rialto in Bozeman on September 11th.

Joshua Hodges started the band in 2007. The name was meant to be success-proof; both unfit for radio and a jab at fame-chasers. But the project was also meant to be bright, playful and brimming with energy. He stumbled upon a winning juxtaposition that’s a STRFKR staple to this day: dark (or heavy) lyrics set to happy music.

STRFKR’s self titled debut album came out in 2008. Since then they’ve released four more studio albums: Jupiter (2009), Reptilians (2011), Miracle Mile (2013), and their most recent Being No One, Going Nowhere (2016). They also released Being No One, Going Nowhere (REMIXES) in 2018.

Arguably, the band’s a most well known song is “Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second” off their debut album. It was used in a Target commercial in 2009, the TV show Weeds in 2o12 and The Blacklist in 2014.

The band’s live show features a custom-made LED wall and a homemade light show that syncs with the rhythm of the songs (also, the occasional crowd-surfing astronaut and band-in-drag).

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 28th at 10AM. Logjam presale tickets will be available June 27th. Complete details and Logjam presale signups can be found in each of the event pages below.
