Logjam Supports the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center’s EmPower Pack Program

The Logjam Foundation is happy to announce its support of the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center’s EmPower Pack Program in Bonner.

The EmPower Pack Program is Missoula Food Bank & Community Center’s weekend nutrition program that helps students stay healthy & nourished when school is not in session. Each Friday, a bag of food is given to students who experience chronic hunger over the weekends. This vital nutrition program reaches students in 36 different sites in the Missoula area, Lolo, Bonner, Frenchtown, Clinton, and Alberton, ranging from preschool to high school.

Logjam’s recent donation to the EmPower Pack Program will help cover 32 students at Bonner Elementary school for the entire 2019/2020 school year. The meals are assembled by over 550 volunteers, which allows every dollar donated to this program to go directly to food costs.

“This is an excellent way for Logjam to reinvest proceeds from live entertainment back into the community and positively impact our youth. We appreciate all the work that the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center does and believe that the EmPower Pack Program is very important.”  –  Nick Checota, Owner of Logjam Presents
