Missoula’s Shakewell Announce New Year’s Eve Party at the Top Hat
Known for constantly putting on some of the best dance parties in Missoula, the funk brotherhood — Shakewell — will return to the Top Hat for a New Year’s Eve concert on December 31, 2019 with Spokane-based soul band Blake Braley.

Over the past seven years, Shakewell has become known for their high energy shows, filled with an infectious mix of disco, soul, and mountain funk. Over the past two years, the band has been developing new songs that they’ll be releasing in 3 parts, each a three-song EP with a differing vibe/core sound concept than the others.
The new material is the result of a more deeply collaborative effort, coming together as a mix of demos that every member of the band had a hand in writing. Shakewell returned to work with Soulive founder, Alan Evans, at his Iron Wax Studios and finished the basic tracking in just three days — the product of what the band described as a “perfect” studio vibe.
Shakewell is very excited to be unveiling the new music over the coming months and can’t wait to perfrom it live and direct as they ring in the New Year with all of Zootown.
