Eccentric Indie Band Of Montreal Will Return to Missoula
Touring in support of their forthcoming album, genre deying indie band of Montreal will return to the Top Hat on March 31, 2020 with support from Locate S,1.

of Montreal was formed in 1996 by frontman and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Barnes. They’ve released 15 full length studio albums, including their 2018 release White Is Relic/Irrealis Mood. Possibly they’re most notable album, Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?, came out in 2007. Pitchfork gave the album 8.7/10 stars and called it “ceaselessly fascinating and inexhaustibly replayable.”
Currently, of Montreal is gearing up for the released of their next album UR FUN slated to drop Jan. 17, 2020. Barnes goal was to make it be the kind of album where every song could be a single, complete with huge hooky choruses and nostalgic dance grooves. The result is an unstoppably fun album that could also pass for a carefully sequenced greatest-hits collection if taken out of context.
of Montreal is known for their theatrical live performances, often including costume changes, projections, a rotating array of stage props, and an overall eccentric stage presence.
