“…one of America’s most consistently interesting bands” – Rolling Stone
Wilco first signed to Reprise Records for their debut album, A.M., in 1995, where they stayed for two more records before signing to Nonesuch Records in 2001 for one of their greatest works, Yankee Foxtrot Hotel. The album peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart and was eventually certified Gold. In 2011, Wilco founded their own record label, dBpm, and have since released all of their material through it. 2011’s The Whole Love was Grammy nominated for the Best Rock Album and 2015’s Star Wars was Grammy nominated for Best Alternative Music Album.
“America’s foremost rock impressionists.” – Rolling Stone
Wilco released their latest album, Ode to Joy, on October 4, 2019. It was met with positive reviews from critics with Paste calling the release, “larger-than-life soft rock full of both grand ideas about the state of our world and small musings about matters of the heart”. Uncut said “It’s a protest record only this sextet could make, one that rings loudest in its simplicity. It favours subtle textures and hushed vocals, and further reveals its wisdom with each listen.”
