Fiery Funk, Soul, and Jazz: The Motet Confirm Two Montana Concerts

Denver-based, funk septet The Motet will make their way to Montana for two shows early 2020: the first at the Rialto in Bozeman on January 30th and the second at the Top Hat in Missoula on Friday, January 31st.

The band consists of Dave Watts [drums], Joey Porter [keys], Garrett Sayers [bass], Ryan Jalbert [guitar], Lyle Divinsky [vocals], Drew Sayers [sax], and Parris Fleming [trumpet]. Together, they create a mélange of boisterous badass funk, swaggering soul, and thought-provoking pop.

Since emerging in 1998, the boys have cooked up nine full-length albums and entranced countless crowds. They’ve played at festivals like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, Wakarusa and Summer Camp Festival. Playing about 100 shows a year, they’re known for their high energy live performances.

Their latest album release, Death Or Devotion, came out early 2019. Bandwagon Magazine said the LP “showcases the band’s reverence for the funk tradition through masterful execution of the style.” Glide Magazine said it is “one of the most complete and strongest offerings of their career.”

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 22nd at 10AM. Logjam presale tickets will be available Nov. 21st. Complete details can be found in each of the event pages below.
