The Seed: A Glance at Magpies Forthcoming Album
Veteran Missoula rockers Magpies are primed and ready for their Official Album Release Party at the Top Hat on Saturday, November 30, 2019.
Before the show, we wanted to give you a quick overview of the new record:
• It’s called Terrain, which comes from lyrics in one of the new songs.
• The official release date is November 29th, the day before the release party.
• It was recorded at Black National Recording Studio in Missoula.
• The album art was done by Jack Metcalf.
• Guitar/vocalist, Tolan Harber, came up with the main progressions and lyrics, but each band member wrote their own parts to each song.
• This is Magpies’ 5th full length studio album.
• The runtime is about 35 minutes.
• It will be available to stream/purchase at Bandcamp and physical copies will also be available at Ear Candy Records.

The post-Thanksgiving show has become a tradition over the past few years and always features support from fellow Missoula artists. This year will follow suit with opening performances from Wilma Laverne Miner and New Old Future.
