Friday, December 13th
Panther Car & The Lovedarts

Forming in 2011, Panther Car delivers an amorphous brand of pop music that teeters between the radiant iridescence of psychedelia and the murky darkness of dreams. Songs progress through tangential wormholes as in an ecstatic conversation; music that is equal parts meditation and celebration. Hard to categorize, maybe Panther Car is better defined by negation. Panther Car is not something you want to miss.

The Lovedarts is a sex charged rock and roll band that follows no rules and aim to cause a frenzy. The band is made up of Jimi Kehoe, Jack Dungan, Luke Scheeler, and Jake Williams. Most of the band comes from other groups: Jimi was in The Permians and Luke, as well as Jake were in Julie’s Syrup.

Ganja White Night at the Top Hat

Members Benjamin “Bamby” Bayeul & Charlie “Erwan” Dodson have been making waves in the electronic community with their iconic Wobble sound since their self titled debut released in 2010. With their musical roots ranging from early UK bass sounds to reggae stylings, Ganja White Night has twisted together their influences and spit out something truly fresh.

In 2016, they became interested in creating their own mini universe, one similar to the Gorillaz, so they teamed up with Ebo, a famous Belgian street artist to bring their concepts & vision alive. Together, they released the Wobble Master & LFO Requiem full animated music videos and the story of Mr Wobble was birthed. The duo plans to continue exploring their own universe. Their forthcoming 8th studio album, The One, is slated to drop this fall.

Tuesday, December 17th & Wednesday, December 18th
Charlie Parr at the Top Hat & Rialto

Nearly fifteen albums later, Charlie Parr continues to deliver honest and heartfelt stories through his mesmerizing blend of folk and blues. His forthcoming album, appropriately named, CHARLIE PARR, is a reflection on himself and his career up to this point. Recorded at Pachyderm Studio in Canon Falls, MN, the album is a collection of new songs and new studio versions of classics/audience favorites from throughout his career and will be released September 27 on Red House Records.

The new album is a musical reckoning that came after a freak accident less than a year ago that forced him to relearn how to play guitar, causing him to take stock of the songs he’s written over his lifetime. The accident on August 3, 2018 could have put an end to Parr’s career. While skateboarding with his daughter along Lake Superior, he hit pavement. His right shoulder was busted into pieces and his ability to play guitar on stage again was suddenly in question. But, when playing the guitar is intertwined with who you are, not playing really isn’t an option.
