The Flaming Lips Reschedule Highly Anticipated Missoula Show to 2021
Psychedelic alt-rock band, The Flaming Lips, have become the first band to reschedule their Missoula show for next year. Originally slated to play April 15, 2020, the Grammy award winners have been rescheduled to Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Wilma. Yes, we realize that’s a long ways out, but that’ll make it all the more sweeter. And if you really want to look at the glass half full, keep in mind that the new date is on a weekend! So keep your tickets in a safe place and hold on ’til next year.

The last time they were in the area was about a year and a half ago when they headlined the KettleHouse Amphitheater. Many fans viewed it as the best concert of the summer. The Flaming Lips’ live shows are filled with extra theatrics and an array of props, as you can see from their Amp show here.
Led by eccentric frontman, Wayne Coyne, The Flaming Lips formed in Oklahoma in 1983. Over the years they’ve released 17 studio albums, with their latest, King’s Mouth, being released July 2019. PopMatters gave it 8 out of 10 stars and described it as a “strange, compelling head trip of an album.”
The Flaming Lips have won three Grammys and have been nominated for 3 others. In 2002, Q Magazine included them on their list of “50 Bands to See Before You Die.” In 2007, they were nominated for a BRIT Award for “Best International Act”.
