Bozeman’s Dead Sky to Celebrate 45th Anniversary of Grateful Dead’s ’77 Cornell Performance

Bozeman-based Grateful Dead tribute band, Dead Sky, will perform at The ELM in Bozeman on Sunday, May 8, 2022. In celebration of the 45th anniversary of The Dead’s concert at Cornell University in 1977, Dead Sky will be performing the exact setlist from that performance.

Taking place on May 8, 1977 at Cornell University’s Barton Hall in Ithaca, NY, the show has gone down as one of the best Dead shows. Deadheads have raved about the show so much that Peter Conners even wrote a book about it: Cornell ’77: The Music, the Myth, and the Magnificence of the Grateful Dead’s Concert at Barton Hall.

We last saw Dead Sky open for Laney Lou and The Bird Dogs on Black Friday and they killed it. There’s no doubt in our mind that Dead Sky will do the Dead justice! Whether you’re a Deadhead or not, you have to check out this show if you’re a fan of classic rock history… Or if you just want to see a rad local band!
