Acclaimed alt-rocker Bob Mould will bring his solo electric Distortion and Blue Hearts show to The ELM on Sunday, September 11, 2022 with support from Will Johnson.

A founding member of 80s punk rock band Hüsker Dü and 90s alt-rock band Sugar, Bob Mould has spent most of the last three decades as a solo artist. Throughout his 40+ year career, Mould has released a massive catalog of music. His post-Hüsker Dü catalog was chronicled in the Distortion box set which features 18 studio albums he recorded as a solo artist and as the frontman of Sugar, plus four live albums, and two albums of rarities and collaborations.

Seeing Mould live, you’ll hear songs that span his entire five-decade-long career which also includes songs from last year’s explosive and critically acclaimed album Blue Hearts. Rolling Stone gave the album a 4 out of 5 star review raving that it, “feels like a lost Hüsker Dü album with Mould howling invective over his buzzsawing guitar.”

Times Union praised Mould’s solo electric show, saying “Mould’s sustained energy, drive and skills aren’t just laudable, they’re incredible.”
