November

Nov. 17: Aaron Watson at The ELM

Aaron Watson’s independent Texas spirit and strong work ethic have helped him achieve consistent success and plenty of press coverage. His 2015 release Underdog was the first independent album in the history of country music to top the Billboard Country Albums chart.

His followup, Vaquero, included the Top 10 hit “Outta Style” which earned Watson a BMI Millionaire award. In 2019 he released Red Bandana  — “his most ambitious album yet” (Taste of Country) —whose 20 songs were hailed by The Boot as “a pure expression of his traditional country ethos.” Most recently, he dropped American Soul, which Six Shooter Country dubbed “another stellar release.”

This show will also feature support from fellow Texan, Jon Stork.

Friday, Nov. 18: Funksgiving 8 at The ELM

FUNKSGIVING, Bozeman’s now-legendary 70s costume dance party is back for it’s 8th year.

Your musical hosts, The Sweet Groovalicious Funk Machine, will once again be laying down the classics thick ‘n’ creamy, with new songs and super special guests including — all the way from Los Angeles — the electrifying Adryon de León (lead vocalist with Orgone, The New Mastersounds, and many more).

Opening the show will be Bozeman’s own Jess Atkins, who has some funky surprises up his sleeve to get things rolling, and we’re proud to say this year’s nonprofit partner is Bridgercare. So pour into those bellbottoms and start growing out that ‘stache — don’t miss what’s become one of the most anticipated events of the year, at one of the region’s best live music venues! Catch ya on the flip side, at FUNKSGIVING 8.

Saturday, Nov. 19: Bozeman Symphony at The ELM

Montana’s very own Bozeman Symphony will present their experimental series Current Commotion which includes acclaimed composer Andy Akiho’s “Seven Pillars,” a bold, genre-defying piece featuring Sandbox Percussion.

Described as “exhilarating” (The New York Times), and “virtuosic and utterly mesmerizing” (The Guardian), Sandbox Percussion (Ian Rosenbaum, Terry Sweeney, Victor Caccese and Jonny Allen) has established themselves as a leading proponent of this generation of contemporary percussion chamber music. Brought together by their love of chamber music and the simple joy of playing together, Sandbox Percussion captivates audiences with performances that are both visually and aurally stunning.

We’re so excited to have Bozeman Symphony for its inaugural performance at The ELM! We hope you can join us for this unique and intimate event.

Nov. 22: Deorro at The ELM

Deorro released the single “Five Hours” in 2014. It reached number one on Billboards Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart.

He released another version of the song titled “Five More Hours” in 2015, which was eventually platinum-certified. The song has well over a billion streams across platforms. Deorro’s second full length album, ORRO, drops July 1, 2022. His latest single “Yo Las Pongo” ft. Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Maffio, came out earlier this year.

This concert will feature fellow electronic artists Ookay and Chuwe.

Friday, Nov. 25: Steve Vai at The ELM

In addition to three Grammy awards (he’s been nominated 15 times), Steve Vai has an impressive list of achievements.

He has sold over 15 million albums, received the Les Paul Award, been voted the “10th Greatest Guitarist” by Guitar World, and has toured the globe with Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, Alcatrazz, and Whitesnake, among others.

Steve Vai is a bonafide guitar wizard, not to mention a composer, singer, songwriter, and producer. If you want to see someone who’s a true master of their craft, you need to see Steve Vai.
