Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Announce Concert at The ELM with Dogs in a Pile

Psychedelic funk band Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will return to Bozeman for their first performance at The ELM on November 8, 2023 with support from Dogs in a Pile.

The Baltimore-based quartet consists of guitarist/vocalist Greg Ormont, guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Schon, bassist Ben Carrey, and drummer Alex “Gator” Petropulos. They formed at the University of Maryland over a decade ago and have since played well over a thousand shows across the U.S., headlining tours and landing on major festival bills like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Jazz Fest to name a few. Self releasing all their own music, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have released six studio albums and racked up millions of streams on Spotify. Their most recent album, Perspective, came out in 2022.

Rolling Stone hailed them as “musical explorers,” Glide called them “a band that melts faces and pulls no punches,”  Relix praised the group as “joyous” and “dance-worthy,” and Jambase described them simply as a “powerhouse.”

Pigeons can throw a heck of a party on their own, but the added talent of jam up and comers Dogs in a Pile is going to bring an extra dose of fun to The ELM. Sign up for the Groove presale and get your tickets to the funkadelic party ASAP!

About Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

Hailed as “musical explorers” by Rolling Stone, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong first took flight roughly a decade ago at the University of Maryland, and the pysch-funk trailblazers have since gone on to play more than a thousand shows across 44 states. In just the past two years alone, the band has co-billed at Red Rocks, played halftime at Madison Square Garden, performed on Adult Swim’s FishCenter Live, celebrated the tenth anniversary of their beloved music festival, Domefest, and even earned their first headlining arena show.

The Baltimore quartet’s latest album, ‘Presto,’ is their most sophisticated and joyful collection to date, drawing on everything from funk to rock to electronic music as it builds off the group’s unparalleled live energy and hits new heights of emotional and technical maturity. At a time when America seems to grow more divided by the day, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong still believes in the power of music to bring people together, and ‘Presto’ is a big, bold album all about celebrating the present and sharing it with the ones we love most.
