Denver-based funk outfit The Motet will return to Montana in 2024 performing at The Wilma in Missoula on Friday, January 19th and The ELM in Bozeman on Saturday, January 20th. Blending funk, R’n’B, rock, soul, and even some country, Colorado’s Magic Beans will open for The Motet in Missoula and Bozeman.

Since emerging in 1998, The Motet have cooked up 10 full-length studio albums and entranced countless crowds. They’ve played at festivals like Bonnaroo, Electric Forest Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, Wakarusa and Summer Camp Festival.

Their latest studio album release, All Day, came out in 2023. No Treble said it’s “a masterclass in hard-driving funk, groovy soul, and dance beats” and Relix called it “some seriously fun funk.” Preview the album and listen to “False Prophets” “Can’t Fool Me” and “Back Seat.”

Playing about 100 shows a year, they’re known for their road-tested, high-energy live performances. You have to see them for yourself!
