Blackberry Smoke Announce Return to Bozeman and Missoula in 2024
Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke will bring their Be Right Here Tour to Montana in 2024, performing at The ELM in Bozeman on Saturday, October 19th and The Wilma in Missoula on Sunday, October 20th. They’ll be joined by Los Angeles-based, singer-songwriter Charlie Overbey.
For over 20 years, Blackberry Smoke has been wowing fans across the world with their raw brand of southern rock. A few of their top hits include “One Horse Town,” “Waiting for the Thunder,” and “Good One Comin’ on. Their 2012 record, The Whippoorwill, reached the Top 40 on the Billboard 200. In 2015, they released Holding All the Roses, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. Their 2021 album, You Hear Georgia, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Americana/Folk Chart.
Earlier this year, they released their eighth studio album, Be Right Here. This album holds special significance as it’s the final one with drummer and band co-founder Brit Turner, who sadly passed away on March 3, 2024.

About Blackberry Smoke
When Charlie Starr started writing the songs that would become Blackberry Smoke’s new album, Be Right Here, the first tune the vocalist/lead guitarist worked up was “Dig A Hole.” Formed by an old guitar riff married with a Wurlitzer chorus riff written by keyboardist Brandon Still, the swampy psychedelic-rock song is a powerful statement about choosing your path in life—whether you want to give into temptation or walk a more righteous road.
“In life, we all are faced with choices,” Starr says. “Are we going to do good, or are we going to do bad? Are we going to love, or are we going to hate? We have a finite amount of time, each of us on this Earth. So probably want to make the best out of it instead of wasting time.”
“Dig A Hole” is the lead track on Be Right Here and sets the tone for another expansive set of rock ‘n’ roll from Blackberry Smoke. As always, the Georgia-based band—Starr, Still, guitarist/vocalist Paul Jackson, bassist/vocalist Richard Turner and drummer Brit Turner—draw inspiration from Southern rock, blues-leaning classic rock and rootsy vintage country.
