Standup Comedians Patton Oswalt & Emo Philips Announce Show at The ELM

Standup comedians Patton Oswalt and Emo Philips are teaming up for a coheadlining show at The ELM in Bozeman on May 15, 2025!

A true master of the craft, Patton Oswalt is known for his sharp wit, intelligent humor, and undeniable presence on stage and screen. His standup specials—including the Emmy and Grammy-winning Talking for Clapping and I Love Everything—have solidified him as one of the best in the business. Beyond the stage, he’s widely recognized for his role in Ratatouille (as the voice of Remy) and his acting roles, including Spence Olchin in the sitcom The King of Queens and narrating the sitcom The Goldbergs.

Joining him is the legendary Emo Philips, whose eccentric delivery and absurdist humor have made him a cult favorite for comedy fans around the world. A true innovator, Philips has influenced generations of comedians with his unmistakable voice and razor-sharp punchlines. He’s appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, and Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. Fans may also recognize him from his hilarious cameo in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story or his classic comedy album E=MO².

ABOUT PATTON OSWALT

Patton Oswalt is an award-winning actor, writer, and comedian. From his comedy specials to more than 200 film and television roles, Oswalt chooses work that inspires him and entertains audiences.

He recently co-created M.O.D.O.K., a Marvel stop-motion animated adult comedy series for Hulu, as well as voices the titular character and co-starred on the NBC Universal comedy A.P. Bio.

In 2020, Oswalt’s Emmy nominated Netflix special I Love Everything was widely applauded upon release, and he received a Grammy nomination for his comedy album of the same name. In 2017, he received Grammy and Emmy nominations for his album and Netflix special Annihilation, which addresses his own devastating loss and dealing with the unexplainable, while making it all painfully funny. ABOUT EMO PHILIPS

Since Emo Philips started doing stand-up comedy in Chicago, his unique style and brilliant material have made Emo famous around the world. Emo received his first big break on the Late Show with David Letterman, and has been back on many times since, captivating the audience many times over. He has also been a frequent guest on the Arsenio Hall Show, and in fact, had been the only person to ever co-host with Arsenio, leaving an impression with every audience member. Emo’s acting roles include playing a crooked game show contestant on Miami Vice,” and a butter-fingered table saw operator in “Weird Al” Yankovic’s hit comedy film, UHF. Emo’s cable specials include the half-hour Cinemax show “Comedy Experiment,” a half-hour Showtime Special, and an hour-long concert on HBO.
