Made up of musicians with a keen respect for the history of jazz and a deep interest in education, the Missoula Jazz Collective brings a fresh perspective on the music of today. All on the Jazz Faculty at the University, the members of this Missoula-based ensemble have performed around the globe from Montana to Maine to China . This group is consistently working to groove in whatever genre is presented. The MJC performs standards, originals and fresh new takes on music, always with an emphasis on communication and improvisation. This exciting group is made up of guitarist Jeff Troxel, bassist Tommy Sciple, Bob LedBetter on drums set along with Rob Tapper (trombone) and Johan Eriksson (saxophone).
