Moon Hooch Announces Concert at the Rialto in Bozeman with Cofresi
Influential brass-house band Moon Hooch will perform at the Rialto in Bozeman on October 1, 2024 with support from Cofresi.
The NYC-band is comprised of sax players Mike Wilbur and Wenzl McGowen and a touring drummer. Together, they create an intoxicating sound that blends elements of virtuosic jazz, groovy funk, and pulse-pounding electronic dance music. Check out the tracks “Number 9,” “Acid Mountain,” and “Red Sky.”
Since their humble days of busking on subway platforms in New York in 2010, Moon Hooch has released 7 studio albums and have been wowing concertgoers across the globe with their high energy live performance. Their latest album My Head & My Heart was released in 2023. Moon Hooch has been hailed by NPR as “unhinged” and “irresistible,” praising each musician’s “remarkable abilities” and naming their Tiny Desk Concert one of the best in the prestigious series’ history.
Opening the evening will be the innovative electronic artist Cofresi, known for his dynamic percussion style and refreshingly versatile live digital-acoustic setup.

About Moon Hooch
Moon Hooch began busking in the subway platforms of NYC in 2010, quickly getting noticed by the NYPD, who had to ban them from locations that couldn’t handle the crowds. In a few short years they were opening for the likes of Beats Antique, They Might Be Giants, and Lotus, while selling out their own headline shows at marquee venues around the United States and Europe. Their unconventional sound and techniques, utilizing found objects like traffic cones, landed them appearances on NPR’s Tiny Desk in America, “Later…with Jools Holland” in the UK, “Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year” in Australia, and private audiences with the Premier League’s Chelsea F.C. They are currently touring the world.
