Join renowned filmmaker Ken Burns for a special preview of his new film THE AMERICAN BUFFALO coming to PBS this fall. Presented by Montana PBS, the sneak preview of the film which was shot on location in Montana will be followed by a panel conversation with director Ken Burns, writer Dayton Duncan, producer Julie Dunfey, historian Rosalyn LaPier and National Wildlife Federation-Tribal Buffalo Program Senior Manager Jason Baldes while Montana PBS Host and Producer John Twiggs will moderate the discussion
THE AMERICAN BUFFALO, a new two-part, four-hour series, takes viewers on a journey through more than 10,000 years of North American history and across some of the continent’s most iconic landscapes, tracing America’s national mammal’s evolution, its significance to the Great Plains, its near demise, and, most importantly, its relationship to the Indigenous People of North America. THE AMERICAN BUFFALO premieres October 16 and 17 on PBS.
