The Wilma

Located in the heart of downtown Missoula and overlooking the Clark Fork river, the historic Wilma Theater was remodeled in 2015 in a classic 1920s art deco style. Our year-round facilities offer an amazing space for any private event you may be planning, whether it’s a wedding, a holiday party, a fundraiser or a corporate event.

With a banquet-style capacity of 225, a cocktail-style capacity of 400, and a theater-style capacity of 850, The Wilma has the unique ability to be both flexible and comfortable regardless of the size of your event. In addition, our beautifully remodeled green room facilities offer two spacious dressing suites, each with their own private bathroom and a large common area.

The Top Hat

The Top Hat Lounge has been entertaining Missoulians sine 1952 and was recently renovated and remodeled in 2013 to better serve our growing clientele and wide variety of local and nationally touring acts.

Now with a scratch-kitchen, a state-of-the-art sound system and a beautiful, exposed-brick Green Room, the Top Hat is a unique and dynamic space to host your private, semi-private, or casual gathering.

Reservations: Dinner reservations can be made for parties of 8 or more with at least 24 hours notice. In addition to standard menu service, The Top Hat has various catering options available for larger parties.

Wilma Rentals

Pricing & Inclusions

Fee: $3,000

Included:

  • 10-hour rental time
  • Basic staffing
  • Set-up and break-down
  • Full Liquor License (Beer, Wine & Liquor)
  • Tables
    • The Wilma has a variety of tables which can be used interchangeably.
    • These include long banquet tables, round banquet tables, tall cocktail rounds and short bistro rounds. 
  • Chairs
    • The Wilma provides up to 200 beautiful and comfortable, red, theater-style chairs.
    • Additional chairs can be rented for $3/chair.

  • Private Dressing Rooms ($100/room)
  • Balcony Access
  • Linens
    • Can be rented through The Wilma for an additional charge
  • Sound & Lighting
    • Equipped with one of the nicest sound systems in the Pacific Northwest, The Wilma is capable of handling even the largest of productions.

Catering

Food: Full bar service is provided by The Wilma and can be catered to fit the needs of your event. Whether you are providing an open bar or would prefer a cash bar, our experienced staff always provides excellent and attentive service.

 

Beverage: The Wilma works exclusively with Bravo Catering for all food service needs. Their attention to detail shows not only in their incredible cuisine but also in their seamless service. Wilma: FAQ

Are we able to display our event on The Wilma marquee?

Yes, we charge $25/hr for use of the marquee on the day of your event. Additional marketing opportunities are also available. Ask your events coordinator for details.

What is the capacity of The Wilma?

This depends on the nature of your event. Standing capacity is 1500, fully seated theater-style is 850, cocktail-style capacity is 400 and banquet-style is 225.

Does the rental price include taxes?

Montana does not have sales tax!

Is the balcony included in the rental?

No. Generally the balcony remains closed during private events, but can sometimes be rented at an additional cost.

Is the green room included in the rental?

No, but the green room can be rented for an additional cost.

What time do events in The Wilma need to be over?

The Wilma has a 12:00 AM curfew.

What if my event goes over the allotted time slot?

Each additional hour of rental is $100.

Main Dining Room

Parties under 30: Our main dining room has two semi-private raised areas that are perfect for parties of up to 30 people. Featuring beautiful art by various artists and flexible table arrangements, they are versatile spaces perfect for any casual gathering.

  • A reserved area in our main dining room.
  • Order off our restaurant menu or our special catering menu.

Parties 30-100 people: Our main dining room has a semi-private area that features a small bar that is perfect for larger parties of up to 100 people.

  • $500 rental fee
  • Large reserved area in our main dining room.

  • Set-up included.

 

Green Room

Party like a rock star in our private Green Room where all of our artists relax behind the scenes. With a private entrance through our stage door and a cozy, exposed-brick lounge with leather couches and copper tables, your private party will be given the same hospitality and treatment as all of our nationally touring acts.

  • Parties of up to 50 people.
  • $750 rental fee
  • Private space and bartender for your group.
  • Private entrance through our Stage door.
