Psychadelic Funk: Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Return To Missoula

On the 11th of October, the funky Baltimore-based unit Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will return to Missoula for one of the vivacious and “out-there” performances these birds are known for. Playing over 100 shows per year and opening for names like Twiddle, the group is gaining popularity in The West.

Comprised of four members and an entirely unique sound, the band’s influences vary from 1.0 Phish to the Meters. “Pigeons Playing Ping Pong brings end-of-the-world enthusiasm to their high-energy psychedelic funk. An April release to their new album, Pleasure, poised the group perfectly for festival season. Compiled of 11 upbeat, dance-able tunes, this most recent project is guaranteed to light any room with summer sunshine. An attendee to one Boulder show commented “These guys may be a little nuts, but they are extremely passionate about what they do.”

More than just passion, each member is a talented and highly-trained musician which helps to bring organization to the chaos.
