Lake Street Dive Performs on the Late Show (Watch)

On Thursday, June 22nd Boston-based Lake Street Dive performed on Colbert’s Late Show (see above). This multi-genre, musical power-house will be playing The Wilma on Aug 22nd.

“Close To Me,” the song performed, comes from their fifth album Side Pony that was released last year (2016). It carries a slower, blues-rock tempo; showcasing Rachel Price’s mighty and dynamic vocals. Side Pony contains twelve songs, ranging from pop-rock ballads (“How Good It Feels”) to Motown-inspired foot-tappers (“Call Off Your Dogs”).

The group came together while studying at The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Ten years later, they are headlining some of the most well-known venues in the nation. Accessible songs that combine funk, jazz, rock, and pop define the 4-piece’s climb to the top. Opening for Lake Street Dive on Aug 22nd are avant-pop up-and-comers Cuddle Magic.

Tickets for the August 22nd performance at The Wilma are on sale now and available online, over the phone at (877) 987-6487, or at The Top Hat’s box office in downtown Missoula. More information on the performance can be found here.
