Upstanders: Starbucks Original Series Screens at The Wilma
Join us on Monday, October 23, 2017 as The Wilma & Starbucks present Upstanders, a Starbucks original series featuring a unique collection of short stories and films about ordinary people doing extraordinary things to create positive change in their communities. The films, produced by Howard Schultz and Rajiv Chandrasekaran, share stories we don’t usually see on television and help inspire us to be better citizens.
This event will celebrate Missoula Upstander Mary Poole, Executive Director of Soft Landing Missoula. Soft Landing Missoula is committed to providing community education and outreach to make refugee resettlement in Missoula as positive as possible for Missoulians and the refugees joining the community.
The free screening will run 7pm – 8:30pm.
A panel discussion will run 8:30 – 9 pm with Rajiv Chandrasekaran, former senior correspondent and associate editor of The Washington Post, currently Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, at Starbucks Coffee Company.
Complimentary coffee and popcorn will be provided.
