About the Paleo Diet

The paleo – or Paleolithic – diet is a modern fad diet requiring the sole or predominant consumption of foods presumed to have been the only foods either available or consumed by humans during the Paleolithic era (Wikipedia). In other words, it is an eating trend that focuses on fruits, vegetables, lean meats, seafood, healthy fats, nuts and seeds and prohibits dairy, grains, legumes, starches, alcohol, processed foods and sugars. The paleo trend is said to work with your genetics to help you stay lean, strong and energetic while preventing degenerative diseases such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression and infertility that may sometimes be caused by eating refined foods, trans fats and sugars.
