JUST ANNOUNCED: Southern Singer-Songwriter Tyler Childers to Play Headlining Concert in Missoula
Recently surging onto the country music scene, Tyler Childers is now preparing for his Sludge River Roadshow which includes a tour stop in Missoula at the Top Hat on October 30, 2018.
In 2011, at only 19 years old, Childers released his first album Bottles And Bibles, but it wasn’t until 2017 with his 2nd album Purgatory, when he found his breakout success. The album was well received by fans and critics, garnering him a nomination from the Americana Music Honors & Awards as 2018’s Emerging Artist of the Year.

The 10 song collection is steeped in personal storytellings of the 26 year old’s development from wayward youth to happily married man. To record the album, he enlisted the help of Grammy Award-winning musician and fellow Kentuckian Sturgill Simpson along with Grammy winning sound engineer David Ferguson. They helped Childers capture the gritty but modern mountain sound he was looking for.
