Xenophile: Azizi Gibson Will Return to Missoula for Backwards Books Tour 2

Boundary pushing producer and lyricist Azizi Gibson plans on bringing his Backwards Books Tour 2 to the Top Hat on October 25, 2018.

The traveled rapper is currently based in Los Angeles, but was born in Frankfurt, Germany, then lived in Singapore and Thailand before moving to Maryland.

Eventually, Gibson dropped out of college and moved to L.A. where he coincidentally met famed producer Flying Lotus. Soon after, Gibson was signed to Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label, which released his 2013 mixtape, Ghost in the Shell.

The next year he followed with the Backwards Books EP and released his first proper full-length album, Prehistoric Till Death, in 2015. His second album A New Life surfaced in spring of 2016 followed by three more albums. His most recent work Xenophile, came out on August 10th, 2018.
