Last year, Bon Iver opened up the 2018 KettleHouse Amphitheater season with a rainy and foggy sold out show in late May — a show that frontman, Justin Vernon, claims as one of his all-time favorites. Indigo Girls last played in Missoula to a packed house at the Wilma in October 2016.

Bon Iver was founded by singer-songwriter, Justin Vernon. Isolated at a cabin in northwestern Wisconsin, Vernon recorded what would become Bon Iver’s debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago, which was originally released in 2007. The album has since been certified platinum and also contains the single “Skinny Love” which is certified gold.

In 2012, the band won two Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album for their album Bon Iver, Bon Iver. In 2016, they released 22, A Million, which went on to be nominated for a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.

The Indigo Girls, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, released their first full length album, Strange Fire, in 1987. They’ve since put out 13 more album, several of which have been certified gold and platinum — with 1989’s self titled LP going double platinum.
