Bon Iver Announce New Album “i,i” and Releases Two Singles “Jelmore” and “Faith”

Bon Iver has just given fans some great news. The Grammy winning indie folk giant announced their new album i,i will be released on August 30th. Along with the announcement, Bon Iver has also released not one, but two new singles — – “Jelmore” and “Faith.”

The new 13-song album will be released on the Jajaguwar record label. It was recorded at Sonic Ranch in West Texas and April Base in Wisconsin.

The core band for the i,i sessions included Sean Carey, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan, and Justin Vernon with Rob Moose and Jenn Wasner, plus contributions from James Blake, Brad and Phil Cook, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Bruce Hornsby, Channy Leaneagh, Naeem, Velvet Negroni, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney, TU Dance, and many others.

“It feels very much like the most adult record, the most complete,” says Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. “It feels like when you get through all this life, when the sun starts to set, and what happens is you start gaining perspective. And then you can put that perspective into more honest, generous work.”

Bon Iver fans are in for a treat this August with the new album coming out the day before the band makes their big return to KettleHouse Amphitheater on August 31st. Last year, Bon Iver played an iconic sold out show at the Amp on a rainy cool day in May. It’s looking like this will be another sold out show, so grab your tickets while you still can! Detail here.
