Top Hat Restaurant Introduces Fresh Spring Missoula Menu

Warm sunshine, blooming flora and the greening mountains, gives Missoula an irresistible feeling of springtime pleasure. The Top Hat Restaurant’s Spring Menu aims to match that same feeling.

With fresh ingredients, bright colors and vibrant flavors, the new menu is perfect for this time of year. New dishes balance big taste with energizing portions, and as usual, the Top Hat kitchen maintains its dedication to made from scratch cuisine. In fact, a couple of the spring menu items are unique creations from two different talented employees.

Lead Cook Nick Hagstrom, contributed the Bourbon BBQ Pork Belly with braised pork belly, bourbon BBQ glaze, corn puree, pickled apple, pickled Fresno chili and arugula.

The Pineapple Curry is the brainchild of Sous Chef Craig Thomas, and consists of madras curry, red bell pepper, broccoli, onion, basmati rice, cilantro, toasted coconut and your choice of tofu, chicken or shrimp. Ordering with tofu makes this dish gluten free, dairy free and vegan.

Another new item is the Spicy Pepper Burger, which Chef Billy says is “FOR REAL SPICY”. It’s made with local Mannix grass fed beef, habanero jalapeno jack cheese, pineapple habanero aioli, pickle pepper vinaigrette dressed shredded lettuce, birds eye infused salt, pickled Fresno peppers and peppered bacon. If that sounds like a lot, that’s because it is… so come hungry and come ready for some fire.

Top Hat would like to thank the amazing local businesses they work with including Mannix Family Grassfinished Beef, Mother Fungi, Farm Hand Farm, Le Petit Outre, Black Coffee Roasting Co., Lake Missoula Tea Company and Big Dipper Ice Cream.

Also worthy to note, Top Hat will now proudly serve chicken from family-owned Red Bird Farms (Englewood, CO), which is noted for their humanely raised, hand cut and antibiotic free chicken.

Finally, here’s a word from the hardest working head chef in town, Billy Metzger:

“I’m excited for the launch of the Top Hat spring menu. This menu was definitely focused on fresh and bright flavors. Our kitchen staff came together as a team to develop new and exciting dishes that we hope you will enjoy.”

Stop by soon to give these delicious delectables a try. The Top Hat kitchen is open Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00am-10:00pm.
